Everybody has been through something. Some wounds are visible. Others are hidden behind a smile, a title, or a Sunday-morning outfit.

But 2 Corinthians 4:7-15 reminds us that God places priceless treasure in fragile vessels.

You may be cracked. You may have been rejected, ridiculed, or reminded of your mistakes. But your wounds don't make you worthless.

Join us at Powell Chapel UMC as we discover that what happened to us doesn't have to define us.

You are more than your wounds. There is still treasure in the vessel.

Empty to Be Filled

Intimacy with God doesn't happen in a life that's already full. These 3 days, we emptying it out on purpose schedule, stuff, mind, heart so there's room for God to move.

Empty my schedule. Clear space instead of rushing past Him.

Empty my stuff. Fast from what I lean on to feel okay.

Empty my mind. Quiet the noise so I can actually hear Him.

Empty my heart. Lay down the hurt, pride, and fear I've been carrying.

Full hands can't receive anything new!
Abraham made room enough to be called God's friend (James 2:23). Moses walked with God "face to face, like a man talks to his friend" (Exodus 33:11) and in that closeness, God showed him God's glory. Jesus said it plain: "I call you friends, because everything I heard from My Father, I put you on to it" (John 15:14-15).
