As the Brethren moved west from Pennsylvania, one church was located at the village of Pyrmont. By 1872, the church had grown in numbers, and it was decided to organize another church and build a house of worship named Fairview.
Work began on the building in September 1872 by local members, using local materials. Services started January 12, 1873, and continued until September 1, 1968. The church building was given to the Tippecanoe County Parks Department for community use, and in 2002, ownership of the building was transferred to Perry Township.
