A huge thank you to all of our WWH supporters who helped make the 10th Annual Wounded War Heroes Grand Isle Offshore Rodeo a success! 🇺🇸
Special thanks went to our host, Bridge Side Marina, our volunteer boat captains, and our generous sponsors, including SLC Development, Tres Hombres Ranch, Broussard Mechanical/Services Employee Page, Combat Veterans To Careers, Impact Acadiana, and many more. Their continued generosity and commitment made this milestone 10th anniversary possible.
Held July 9–11 in Grand Isle, Louisiana, the rodeo brought together 60 veterans and 24 volunteer boat owners for three days centered on outdoor therapy, gratitude, camaraderie, and meaningful connections.
The weekend began Thursday evening with a welcome meal of jambalaya provided by Infinity, giving veterans, fishing partners, and captains a chance to connect before heading out on the water.
Friday featured offshore competition across eight fishing categories, followed by boiled shrimp prepared by Pintail Fabrication. Each veteran also participated in a drawing for a door prize or trip valued at more than $300.
Saturday brought another great day on the water before the final weigh-in and an evening dinner of crawfish stew and fried catfish provided by SLC Development. Fishing awards and the annual auction rounded out the evening, with donated items and enthusiastic bidding generating strong support for the mission.
Throughout the weekend, volunteers from the Baton Rouge Police Department cleaned and prepared the day’s catch so every veteran could head home with an ice chest filled with fish.
More than the fishing, meals, prizes, and awards, the Grand Isle Offshore Rodeo provided veterans with an opportunity to spend time outdoors, build relationships with fellow veterans, and experience the camaraderie at the heart of Wounded War Heroes.
To everyone who gave their time, resources, boats, meals, prizes, and support over the weekend, thank you for making 10 years of this incredible event possible.
Most importantly, thank you to our veterans for your service and sacrifice. It was our privilege to spend this milestone weekend honoring you.
