🤍 The White Pumpkin Project 🤍

Two years ago, Jeanne Sonnier Theriot, brought Jason and I a white pumpkin — a simple, thoughtful gift that carried deep meaning.

White pumpkins are a symbol of remembrance and hope for families who’ve experienced the loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss.

During Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, the White Pumpkin Project encourages families to display a white pumpkin in honor of the little ones gone too soon — and as a gentle reminder that no one walks this journey alone.

A small gesture. A powerful message. Love never leaves. 🤍

Last night was got creative and decoupaged our white pumpkins. Thank you Peggy Matthews, Jason LeBlanc and Kimberly Saucier Hernandez for sponsoring last night’s support group!

Tonight at 7:00 PM, join us and families around the world for the Wave of Light — a global event honoring babies gone too soon.

Light a candle at home for one hour to remember and celebrate the lives of babies lost during pregnancy or infancy. Together, our lights create a continuous wave of love, remembrance, and hope across the world.

LFDA Southwest District Governor Paige Aymond of Sibille Funeral Home and LFDA Immediate Past President Retanna Mire of Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home joined their families and the founders of Aylee’s Angels on Wednesday, October 7, for the Aylee’s Angels Topgolf Fundraiser! ⛳💕

Aylee’s Angels provides compassionate support to families experiencing the heartbreaking loss of a stillborn or newborn baby. Through their participation, Paige and Retanna helped support an organization dedicated to bringing comfort, care, and hope to families during some of life’s most difficult moments.

We are proud to see our LFDA leaders giving back to their communities and supporting causes that make such a meaningful difference! 💙

Because of the incredible generosity of our community, we've raised $31, 469 so far this year!

Your support has allowed us to secure our office rent through the end of our lease, and now we're focusing on funding our Petals of Remembrance Campaign. To date, we've provided $30,353.47 in funeral flower assistance to 117 families across Acadiana during some of their most difficult moments.

As we prepare for our final fundraiser of the year, we hope you'll continue to stand with us. Every donation helps us ensure no family has to face this burden alone. Thank you for making this mission possible.
