VoiceFlame extends a huge thank you to Chikondi Lunguzi Njawala, who organized the launch and celebration of Anthology 2019 for the girls who shared their poetry and stories in the book.

Chikondi says:

"We thank God. I am truly grateful to the three great women we invited to share inspirational talks: Dr. Maggie Mandimbo-ABC Vice-Chancellor, Hon Vera Kamtukule-Deputy Minister of Labour, and Doc Limbikani Kamlongera. They all graced the occasion beautifully. I just know the lives of the girls will never remain the same. Thank you, VoiceFlame."

Bertha Simbeye Chiudza passed through Madisi/Rise Secondary School to check in with girls who previously received Anthology 2019.

Here's what she had to say, "Today's quick visit inspired me as I saw and heard directly from the girls how all our stories resonate with theirs."

Great work, Bertha, and all the authors!

Maureen Mlenga shares Anthology 2019 with Lydia Chisangalatso Gwaza. Lydia is the daughter of the late Flonney Itimu Gallanje, who Maureen describes as a good samaritan in her essay, My Mother, My Anchor.

When Flonney and Maureen were at boarding school together Flonney shared her groceries with Maureen and invited her home for school holidays when Maureen didn't have the funds to travel to her own home. Imagine what that would mean to a young girl!

Maureen remains deeply indebted to Flonney and was so pleased to share the book with her daughter. Read Maureen's and many more inspiring stories by going to https://www.amazon.com/s?k=anthology+2019+malawi&crid=28CRT9PBC9PHN&sprefix=anthology+2019%2Caps%2C237&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-a-p_1_14
