Ongoing need but many are blessed by the help. Hope has delivered 60 flood buckets, 40 kits & over 40 quilts to Chatfield Mn. More to go.
The Disaster Response Supply Shed of the North American Lutheran Church (NALC)/Heartland Mission District (HMD), comprised of at least 14 NALC congregations in Indiana and Kentucky, have delivered roughly 200 flood buckets, health kits, and school kits to the flooded communities of Cambridge City, Milton, and Connersville. (We made two trips.) We hope to send items to Laurel and Metamora once roads become passable. We checked with Hagerstown but they didn't need as much. Most of water hit businesses and not homes. The shed is down to 15% capacity. We have about 100 of each of the kits available and then we are empty. It's now time to work on restocking. Thank you to all partnered churches and individuals how help making this relief possible. Anyone who needs the kits, gets the kits.
