New Hampshire Humane Society Helping pets & the people who love them for 126 years ❤️ On May 16, 2006 the NHHS opened its new facility to the public.

Since that time, adoption rates have increased dramatically, with an adoption rate hovering at 96%. Nationally, only 16% of people go to a shelter for their next pet. New Hampshire Humane Society has the third highest adoption rate in New England, demonstrating the quality of care and the passion our team has for this mission.

This goofy face is the face of Hamilton, he is alumnus of NHHS. Hamilton came to us as a stray, with no name and a leash around his neck as a collar. He also came with some serious skin allergies. Hamilton quickly won over each and every staff member with his personality & concerned looks.

Fast forward to today; with a family to call his own. Learning a new version of life, the good life.

Meet Bam Bam. He is our longest term shelter cat. He is a shy guy, who is super sweet. Quickest way to his heart is a good brush, maybe a churu . He told us he is going to make the best quiet companion for someone, a steady and reassuring presence.

Breaking news: I have been informed that treats cost money.

Please support NH Gives so the nice humans can keep helping dogs like me while I continue contributing absolutely nothing to the economy.

They tell me that anyone who donates $25 or more before 11 AM will be entered for a chance to name a puppy. Seems like a pretty good deal, if you ask me.
