Check us out in today's Laconia Daily Sun! The Home Possible Project will be participating in NH Gives one week from now on June 9–10!
NH Gives is New Hampshire’s largest statewide online day of giving. This special 24-hour event begins at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, June 9 and continues through 5:00 PM on Wednesday, June 10.
This year, HPP has a fundraising goal of $20,000 to help secure an early down payment and deposit on a Solar PV System for our community residence. By moving forward early, HPP will qualify for rebates estimated at 30–40% of the system cost.
Adding solar energy to our residence will help reduce long-term utility and operating costs, improve sustainability, provide more predictable energy expenses, and allow more resources to go directly toward resident support, programming, and services rather than rising energy costs
Double your donation impact! The HPP Board of Directors will be matching donations dollar-for-dollar up to $7,000 during NH Gives.
We are excited to share that progress continues to move forward on our flagship supportive community residence for adults with developmental disabilities. We are now “shovel ready” and prepared to move forward as soon as all funding is secured.
Your support will help us turn this vision into reality and create a safe, supportive, and inclusive forever home for adults with developmental disabilities right here in the Lakes Region.
New for 2026: If you take the standard deduction, you may now deduct up to $1,000 ($2,000 for married couples filing jointly) in cash donations to The Home Possible Project. Support our mission and receive a tax benefit. Please consult your tax advisor for details.

We are excited to share a major milestone for The Home Possible Project!
On Monday, April 20th, HPP’s site plans for our Phase I community residence were unanimously approved by the Gilford Planning Board. This marks an important step forward as we continue working to create a supportive, inclusive home for adults with developmental disabilities in our community.
This future residence will be located on 6.8 beautiful acres of land generously donated by the First United Methodist Church of Gilford-Laconia, an extraordinary gift that is helping turn this vision into reality.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Gilford Town Planning Department, John Ayer, and all members of the Gilford Planning Board for their thoughtful review and support of this project.
A special thank you to our Board Vice-Chair Joel Fisher for helping guide this process, and to Site-Civil Engineer Michael Vignale, PE, for his outstanding professional work on our behalf. His dedication and pro-bono support mean so much to HPP, and most importantly, to our future residents.
We are also grateful to Attorney Ethan Wood of Normandin, Cheney & O’Neil for his continued pro-bono legal support of our project.
This approval brings us one step closer to making this vision a reality. We are officially “Shovel Ready.” We are deeply appreciative of the continued support from our community as we move forward together. Check out our website for all the updates. www.homepossiblenh.org

We’re grateful to the Laconia Daily Sun and the Sunshine Partners Program, and to Bank of New Hampshire for sponsoring The Home Possible Project and helping share our story with the community.
This article highlights our vision for our community residence—featuring an innovative shared service dog program and thoughtfully integrated smart technology to support safety, communication, health, and comfort.
At the heart of it all, however, there will be highly qualified, professional staff providing 24/7 person-centered support—because people, not just technology, make the difference.
The home itself will be designed for the future: accessible, energy-efficient, and built with geothermal heating and cooling, radiant floor heat, and integrated safety and backup systems to ensure comfort, stability, and well-being for residents.
We’re excited to share this next step forward—and grateful to everyone helping make it possible.
