Marshall County Old Settlers Marshall County Old Settlers is our annual county festival held at the Marina in Lacon, IL. Our theme for the 2025 festival is ‘A Summer Luau’.

The dates of the 2026 festival are August 28-29, 2026 and the theme is 'Hometown Roundup' The 154th Marshall County Old Settlers festival is hosting a Movie Night on Friday, August 22, 2025 at dusk featuring Disney's Moana and the traditional festivities will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 in Lacon, Illinois at the Marina. We will be having lots of fun events going on including a Grand Parad

e, 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Run, Makers Market, Stage Entertainment, bounce house attractions, a kiddie train, dunk tank, axe throwing, a mechanical bull, art & photography show, cruise in, face painting, food trucks, a balloon artist, an AMAZING fireworks show and so much more!!
