We are holding another EAA Young Eagles rally at Lacon airport on Saturday. Kids aged 8 to 17 can take a free flight in a small plane with a volunteer pilot! Preregistration available at the link. Plenty of spots still available!

We are holding our first ever Young Eagles rally from 9-12 on Saturday September 18th at the Marshall County Airport in Lacon, IL.

“Launched in 1992, the Young Eagles program has dedicated more than 25 years to giving youth ages 8–17 their first free ride in an airplane.

It’s the only program of its kind, with the sole mission to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation.

Today, more than 2 million young people have enjoyed a free introductory flight through the Young Eagles program. These flights are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers.”

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT!

Dan Ibrahim from EAA 1642 took the mighty and newly shiny 🍅 to Bloomington today to take part in the EAA 129 Young Eagles event. Completed 3 flights with 8 kids - 6 of whom had never been in an airplane of any description before! Great event organized by Rachel Henderson and Charlie Bates.

Congratulations to Brady Neuhalfen on passing his Private Pilot checkride today. Brady was one of two recipients of the Charlie Allen Memorial Young Pilot Scholarship in 2019.

Thanks to Brady’s instructor, Barry Logan; and to Kent Cook at Kilo Aviation for playing their part in Brady’s journey from zero time to Private Pilot!

We look forward to offering the scholarship program again in 2021. Details will be published in January.
