We live in an ever-changing world, and today's military personnel are at the forefront of many of these changes. From peacekeeping to waging war to delivering humanitarian aid, their roles are more diverse than ever. So it comes as no surprise that approximately 65% of the earth's nations are heavily influenced by their armed forces. With military personnel from so many countries stationed around

the globe, there has never been a more strategic time to share the life-changing gospel of Christ with the semi-closed society of international military personnel. Positively changed lives among military personnel will result in positive changes for the nations of our world. With contacts in over 150 nations, ACCTS is actively engaged in the international military mission field by:

* training military Christian leaders to form locally-led military Christian fellowships (MCFs); currently, there are MCFs in more than 140 countries

*organizing and conducting conferences, leadership training programs, and mobile training teams which equip MCF leaders and members to serve Christ and share Him with their military colleagues

*developing close, ongoing relationships with national MCF leaders and chaplains to encourage and empower them

* fostering friendships and cross-cultural relationships with international military students, many of whom will become government leaders and policy-makers in their own countries

* providing expertise to MCFs by helping organize military ethics symposia, English language camps, conflict resolution courses, Bible conferences for cadets and young officers, and internships

* building relationships with military personnel and identifying military Christians in nations where contacts need to be developed

* producing publications, tapes, and prayer initiatives that support MCFs, MCF leaders, and individual MCF members

* providing administrative and staff services to the world-wide Association of Military Christian Fellowships (AMCF)

Influencers is a vibrant community that unites ACCTS, Christian Military Fellowship, and Officers' Christian Fellowship (OCF) Military Christian Fellowships on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

We gather every Wednesday at 6 p.m. in our home to share fellowship and delve into God's Word, empowering one another to live out our faith with unwavering passion.

Last Wednesday, our group explored James 5:13-20 - The Prayer of Faith, and discovered the incredible impact it can have on our lives. As Influencers, we can inspire others by highlighting the transformative power of prayer in every aspect of our lives, and by cultivating a habit of seeking God's guidance in all we do, from gratitude to challenges, relationships, and life's milestones, we can experience profound growth and unlock our full potential.

Verse 16 reminds us, 'Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.'

Last night's Bible Study together with ACCTS, Christian Military Fellowship, and Officers' Christian Fellowship (OCF), was on the Book of James 4:13-17… Boasting about tomorrow. We can make all kinds of plans for college, marriage, and our finances. We can set up all kinds of calendars, invites, and pre-planning stuff. But if we don't include God in our pre-planning first, then it can all be for nothing. God wants us to come to Him with everything. These verses say, “If it is the Lord's will.” God's Will. Planning for the future when we have not shared with the Lord is just wasted time and foolishness. But when God begins your plans and He has given you His blessings, we are on the right path.

In the Book of James 1:13-18, we're reminded that our trials can often stem from temptations, and sometimes, the consequences of others' choices. Consider the story of someone who borrowed their parents' car and, giving in to temptation, got into an accident, causing financial loss and inconvenience for their parents. Yet, when we anchor ourselves in God's Word, communicate with Him, and fix our eyes on Him, we can overcome most temptations. Though challenges will come, we'll be better equipped to face them head-on. ACCT's Gulf Coast Military Ministry Bible Study on August 27, 2025.
