Blood transfusion is an essential treatment for patients with sickle cell disease, the most common genetic blood disease in the U.S. which primarily affects people of African descent. Blood donors who are Black are especially needed to help patients with sickle cell disease receive the most compatible blood match. Plan to give blood the Sickle Cell Fighter Blood Drive, sponsored by the Buffalo Urban League Young Professionals on Saturday, Feb 4th from 9 AM – 2 PM at the Johnnie B. Wiley Pavilion. Toy Drive has begun at Catholic Charities!
Christmas toy sign ups will be in person at 75 Caldwell Place through Catholic Charities tomorrow, 12/1, from 10am-2pm.
You can also either call 716-856-4494 or come in to 525 Washington Street to sign up between now and December 14th.
Please be prepared with your and your children's identifications and social security numbers. We can serve children up to 18 years old!
