Creativity, history, and innovation came together in an inspiring way for Our Lady of Victory Elementary School's 8th Grade students.
After reading OLV's newest children's book - Father Baker: A Friend to All - students were challenged to bring what they learned to life by creating original board games based on the book. Students explored the Father Baker Museum and conducted their own Father Baker research. Each student designed a unique game, complete with custom boards, decorated boxes, and even 3D-printed playing pieces.
To celebrate their work, the students invited OLV's Chief Creative Officer and Father Baker: A Friend to All author, Tom Lucia, to visit their classroom and play some of their games. The visit gave students an opportunity to showcase their creativity, share their knowledge, and demonstrate how they transformed history into engaging, interactive learning experiences.
We are proud of these young innovators for combining storytelling, research, design, and technology into projects that truly bring Father Baker's story to life!
