Doctor of the Church.

Mystic. Reformer.

Bold, brilliant, and deeply in love with God.

St. Teresa of Avila reminds us that holiness is not about having perfect thoughts—it’s about loving greatly, trusting deeply, and asking boldly.

Her words still speak to our hearts today:

“You pay God a compliment by asking great things of Him.”

“Let nothing disturb you… God alone suffices.”

“The important thing is not to think much, but to love much.”

On her feast day, let’s take her words to heart.

Pray boldly.

Love deeply.

Rest in the God who never changes.

St. Teresa of Avila, pray for us.

At just 15 years old, St. Carlo understood something most of us take a lifetime to learn:

Prayer isn’t a task. It’s a relationship.

It’s not what we “fit in” when the day is done—it’s what gives the rest of our day meaning.

Today we celebrate St. Carlo’s feast day. Carlo was a teenager who used technology to spread love for the Eucharist and stayed close to Mary through the Rosary.

Let his witness inspire us and our children to take prayer seriously

Not as a duty, but as a daily appointment with love.

St. Carlo, pray for us

The Rosary is more than a set of prayers—it’s a spiritual weapon, a meditation on the life of Christ, and a centuries-old devotion passed down through the Church.

But where did it come from?

According to tradition, the Blessed Mother appeared to St. Dominic in the 13th century and gave him the Rosary as a way to combat heresy and bring souls back to Jesus.

She promised him that this prayer—offered with love and reflection—would convert hearts and change lives.

Centuries later, Pope Pius V called on Christians to pray the Rosary during the Battle of Lepanto in 1571. Against all odds, the Christian fleet was victorious—and the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary was established to honor her intercession.

How do we pray it?

The Rosary is a rhythm of repetitive prayer that creates space to meditate on the Mysteries of Jesus’ life—from the Annunciation to the Resurrection and beyond.

Each decade invites us to contemplate Christ through the eyes of His Mother.

Pray slowly. Meditate deeply. Let Mary lead you to her Son.

Today we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary—another name for Our Lady of Victory. It is a day that reminds us of the power of praying with Mary and meditating on the life of Christ through the Rosary.

The Rosary isn’t just a devotion—it’s a lifeline.

A way to grow in peace, trust, and love for Jesus.

Looking for ways to celebrate as a family? Try one (or more) of these:

– Pray the Rosary (or even just one decade together)
– Go to Mass if you’re able
– Make “decade cupcakes” or edible rosaries with cereal, candy, or fruit
– Color a Rosary guide or mystery cards for kids
– Listen to a guided Rosary on Hallow (perfect for families or car rides)

Let today be a reminder that you’re never praying alone—Mary is with you, leading you closer to her Son.

Our Lady of the Rosary and Our Lady of Victory, pray for us.

The month of October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary—a prayer that invites us to meditate on the life of Christ through the eyes and heart of His Mother.

It’s simple. It’s scriptural. It’s powerful.

And it’s one of the Church’s greatest treasures.

Whether you're a seasoned Rosary family or just starting out, this month is a beautiful time to draw close to Jesus by praying with Mary.

A Simple Guide to Living the Rosary This Month:

– Start small: One decade a day is a great place to begin
– Pray together: Try a decade on the way to school or before bed
– Make it visible: Place a Rosary in a central spot in your home
– Talk about it: Help your children learn the mysteries and what they mean
– Let it grow: It’s okay if it’s not perfect—just keep showing up

Mary doesn’t ask for perfection. She just wants to lead us to her Son.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

St. Francis is the one often pictured with birds on his shoulders and animals at his feet.

But don’t let the birdbath statue fool you.

St. Francis was radical.

He walked away from wealth, comfort, and even his family’s expectations to live a life of total poverty and obedience to God.

He founded a religious order, received the stigmata, and sparked a movement of renewal that changed the Church—and the world.

He also deeply loved creation—not as something to worship, but as something that reflects the goodness of its Creator.

As a family today, honor St. Francis by:

– Taking a nature walk and thanking God for creation
– Caring for animals or the earth in a small, intentional way
– Talking with your kids about what it means to really listen when God calls

St. Francis, pray that we may love simply, live boldly, and follow Christ with joy.

"Angel of God, my guardian dear..."

It’s a prayer many of us learned as children—but how often do we pause to remember what it really means?

Your guardian angel was created by God for one mission:
To guard, protect, and guide you.
Not in a general way—but personally, faithfully, attentively.
You are never alone.
Heaven assigned you a companion who never stops interceding, shielding, and walking with you.

Today is the perfect day to pray this simple prayer with your family—and to remind your children (and yourself) to lean on their angel daily.

Guardian Angel of God, pray for us.

St. Thérèse reminds us that no matter your state in life—married, single, parent, child, priest, or religious—your deepest calling is the same:

To love.

Love is the vocation that gives meaning to the dishes, the diapers, the school runs, the bedtime prayers.

It’s the offering made in quiet sacrifices and hidden faithfulness.
It’s what transforms ordinary life into something holy.
Today, ask your family:
How can we live love in the little things?

St. Thérèse, teach us to love with joy and simplicity.
