Wow, what a response! We're so grateful to everyone who has already applied to be part of Festival of Sparks on 10/10. Your enthusiasm for this community is exactly why we do what we do. 🧡

Sharp tools make for safer, better projects, and that's exactly what Gary's monthly sharpening class is all about! 🔧

Members can take basic classes like this one for free as part of their membership, learning practical skills alongside their fellow makers. Members of the public are welcome too, just grab a ticket and come learn.

All of our classes are taught by members or volunteers who generously share their knowledge with attendees. That's the heart of Lacey MakerSpace: people teaching people.

🌟 Huge thank you to YWCA Olympia for partnering with Lacey MakerSpace and trusting us to host the Different Canvas Camp! 🌟

Over two amazing days, 11 incredible youth designed, cut, and pieced together their own glass mosaics, plus came together to create a stunning joint mural that will soon hang proudly at the YWCA Friendship Hall. 💙💛

So much creativity, patience, and confidence-building happened at those tables. Watching these young artists problem solve, collaborate, and support each other through the whole process was the best part of this project.

Grateful for partners like YWCA of Olympia who believe in giving youth hands-on opportunities to learn, create, and grow. Can't wait for what's next! ✨
