As American Wetlands Month comes to a close, we would like to acknowledge and encourage you to watch the new video highlighting the work of the Mole Lake Band of Lake Superior Chippewa (Sokaogon Chippewa Community) to protect their wetlands and watersheds.

The long-term landscape approach Tribes take to protect and manage water resources helps improve water quality, reduce flooding, and provide critical habitat. Caring for wetlands and watersheds also helps sustain culture, traditional ways of life, and connections to the land for future generations. Healthy natural environments create opportunities to hunt, fish, gather, and strengthen community relationships today and into the future.
