Scare Away Cancer MCL Construction presents, Scare Away Cancer. This is the ultimate Halloween party to raise money for cancer patients, programs and research.

Presented and organized by MCL Construction, Scare Away Cancer started as fundraising event for an employee with breast cancer. It quickly grew into something more as our goals is not only to raise awareness, but money for patients, programs and research.

Some moments remind us exactly why Scare Away Cancer exists and this is one of them.

Meet Dynastee, a 13‑year‑old who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma earlier this year. Just days later, her family’s car broke down, making it difficult to get to treatments, school, and work. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we were able to step in and help lift that burden.

Since 2017, the Inner Beauty Salon at the Nebraska Methodist Health System Estabrook Cancer Center has served more than 23,000 patients, 4,700 of whom received care outside of Methodist. Scare Away Cancer has donated $162,000 for charitable care for those who can't afford it or are not covered by insurance. This means 700 patients, 90 last year, received financial support through the support of Scare Away Cancer. The partnership continues in 2026!
