La Veta Oktoberfest Founded in 1986, La Veta Oktoberfest is held annually on the first Saturday of October.

The event celebrates community with the Candy Coco Memorial Scholarship, Twin Peaks Car Rodders Trophies, a Veterans Tribute, and the crowning of King and Queen. Founded in 1986 as a hobby to end the Summer Fixation or so the legends say, Our Oktoberfest is held ONE day a year on the first Saturday of October. One thing that never change is the Venue nestled comfortably amidst the backdrop of the West Spainish Peak on downtown Main Street boasting what may be the only highway closure in the state allowed for a festivity. Come for the Food, Drool over the Cars, and Dance your way over to the Beir Garden to Romp over great music, and Perhaps meet a new Friend along the way.

While we had a WONDERFUL La Veta Oktoberfest, someone disposed of personal items in our event dumpster on Ryus Avenue that cannot be accepted there. Our volunteers removed the items, and we’d like to return them to their owner for proper disposal at the transfer station.

We work hard to make Oktoberfest a great event for our community, and improper dumping creates extra work for our volunteers. If you saw who disposed of these items, please send us a message.

Please remember: These dumpsters are for Oktoberfest event use only. Thank you for helping us keep our community clean!
