Following the Spring Creek Fire in 2018, SPAWP, a non-profit Colorado corporation with 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status, was created, with the mission to collaboratively protect the Spanish Peaks area from the impact of destructive events.

Another day of very dry air and strong winds of 30-40mph are expected today. Areas in the boxes are at the most risk for fire starts. Red Flag Warnings are issued for these areas through the evening. Hot, dry, and windy conditions are likely outside of the red boxes as well. Do what you can to minimize the threat of wildfire starts for the area today!
