RFFT was created in 2017 “In Loving Memory” and to honor the life of Apolonia “Pauline” Rangel Ybarra. Those who knew Pauline, knew the importance familia was to her and the joy it brought when all were gathered.
Pauline came from a big family, having eight brothers and sisters, as well as, having been blessed with ten children of her own. Pauline was a single mother who taught her children how to fish at a young age. Her four sons, in turn, kept the family legacy alive and taught the thirty-four grandchildren how to fish.
Now the grandchildren are teaching Pauline’s great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren the sport of fishing. We seek to continue Pauline's legacy of introducing the sport of fishing to children from all walks of life.
