With COVID compromising and impacting all Relay for Life Events and society as a whole we our doing the next best thing in bringing our communities together in holding a pre-recorded Virtual Luminaria Ceremony hosted by Relay for Life Claremont La Verne Relay.

Tonight we will be recognizing our relay teams and individuals and highlighting their fundraising achievements.

We will also introduce our American Cancer Society, Staff Partner, Kristina Rubio as she will detail the current challenges Relay and the American Cancer Society is facing this year.

We are honored and proud to announce our honored Caregiver Speaker, Malissa Hernandez in sharing her strengh, hope and peace while walking through cancer with her beautiful sister Yolie Lopez.

We will conclude our show with the lighting of the candles in a virtual setting leading into our slideshow honoring our loved ones in the fight against cancer, our loved ones who have conquered cancer and our loved ones whom have lost their lives to cancer.

Thank you for supporting the American Cancer Society and most of all being there for each other as a community during the treasurance paths we may endure in the fight against cancer.

The La Mirada/Whittier Relay is putting together a Zoom Virtual Video of a few Survivors to sing the following song for their virtual event: https://youtu.be/7BZlF2IbjHY

They are putting together the musical background and want to get Survivors together to sing Solo's within the Verses and all together in the chorus.

They have the songwriter’s permission to use the song (tracked him down all the way in Sri Lanka).
