We are so proud to celebrate Cindy Bowers of Joan Macy School/RenaissanceCommunity Prep who was recognized at the 2026 Teacher of the Year Awards hosted by the San Dimas and La Verne Chambers of Commerce! 🏆

Cindy has been a creative force for our students over the years by directing plays, coordinating art shows, and giving young people the tools to express themselves in powerful ways. 🎨🎭

As an award sponsor of this event, Haynes and David & Margaret are beyond proud to see our teachers shine across the community. Thank you for all you do for students and their families! ✨

Happy Earth Day! 🌍💚

Our students do more than just learn about the environment, they get hands-on experience with it! Over the years, students have transformed their campus by raising garden beds, planting herbs, flowers, and other plants, and even constructing and caring for a whole chicken coop! 🌱🐣💪

These projects not only help to build real-world skills and confidence, they give our students an appreciation for our amazing planet. 💙

For years, the Kiwanis Club of Walnut Valley has gifted our Joan Macy School/Renaissance Community Prep students with Easter baskets, and every single year, our kids go absolutely crazy for them! 🐰🧺💐

As our Vocational Arts programming continues to expand, students with experience from previous semesters have the opportunity to help guide new students in the art of welding! With a certified instructor close by, students are working together to build important technical skills, confidence, and teamwork. 💪

Learning is even better when students get to lead, mentor, and grow together! 🌱✨

Our Joan Macy/Renaissance students are getting hands-on with the newest addition to our Vocational Arts program: cosmetology! From measuring and mixing hair dye to applying color and styling with intention, students are blending math, science, and creativity in a whole new way. 💪

Beyond the fun and flair, they’re building real-world, transferable skills that can open doors to future careers. We can’t wait to see where their talent, confidence, and creativity take them next. 🎨
