SHORT NOTICE, BIG PROJECTS, AND A WHOLE LOT OF CHAOS! 😅🔨

We're officially racing against Mother Nature to get our rescue facilities ready before the snow flies!
I'm realizing just how many projects we still have to finish… and there's absolutely no way I can do it alone. 🫠

So we're calling on our amazing community for help!

We're splitting volunteers into 4 TEAMS!

🔨 TEAM 1 — THE FENCE
Installing fencing!

🏠 TEAM 2 — THE CABINS
Helping finish our animal housing cabins!

📦 TEAM 3 — THE STORAGE SHED
Cleaning, organizing, and making our ridiculous storage less chaos.

🏗️ TEAM 4 — THE BIG BUILDING
Yeah..I know... 👀😳

❤️ YOU DON'T NEED EXPERIENCE!
Whether you're handy with tools, good at organizing, willing to carry supplies, or just have two hands and a willingness to help, WE NEED YOU!

Even if you can only spare an hour or two, it makes a difference!

🌸 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED — HELP US SUPPORT WISCONSIN WOMEN VETERANS! 🇺🇸

Vets R&R is building a dedicated volunteer team for our Women Veterans Rest, Relaxation & Rejuvenation Retreats!

This past week, I had to make the difficult decision to postpone our October retreat because I became ill. While the decision was necessary to protect our participants, it made me realize something important: These retreats need to be able to continue even when I cannot be there.

Our women veterans deserve consistency, and I want to build a team that ensures these special weekends can happen regardless of unexpected circumstances.

❤️ We're looking for 4–6 volunteers to train in several areas:

🌷 Retreat Coordinators (2 needed): Work directly alongside me to learn everything involved in planning, preparing, and running our retreats. My goal is to have at least two people who can confidently step in and lead a retreat if I'm unavailable.

🏡 B&B Reset & Cleanup (1–2 needed per retreat): Help us return the bed-and-breakfast to the condition we found it after each retreat, ensuring we leave everything clean, organized, and ready for the next guests.

🍽️ Food Preparation & Support: Help prepare meals and refreshments the day before a retreat, with occasional assistance during final cleanup.

You do NOT need to commit to every retreat!

Our goal is to have enough trained volunteers that we only need 2–3 people for each monthly retreat, allowing everyone to rotate based on their availability.

Because these retreats are designed to provide a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for women veterans, we are seeking female volunteers for roles involving direct participation and time inside the retreat living spaces. Men are also welcome to help with food preparation, setup, and cleanup outside of participant activities.

You don't need prior retreat experience. Just a caring heart, dependability, respect for our veterans' privacy, and a willingness to learn.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Chula Vista Resort, we have a raffle package valued at over $1500.
