Scioto Conservancy District This board is responsible for the Scioto River and its tributaries in Marion County. Current board members are: Tom Ford, John Thiel and Lynn Clabaugh.

This is a board consisting of three members appointment by a Marion County Judge. The clerk is Shelly Hafer. The board attorney is Gina Piacentino and the engineer is Dylan Wyatt. The board is responsible for maintaining the Scioto River and tributaries in Marion County. Funding is obtained from a small tax assessment on properties located within the watershed. Board meetings are held once a month in the AgCredit Conference Room at 1100 E Center Street, Marion, OH.

The Scioto Conservancy District Board held a reorganizational meeting on January 5, 2026. Officers for 2026 are: Lynn Clabaugh, President; John Thiel, Vice President; Thomas P. Ford, Board Member. The financial statement for 2025 has been completed and a copy can be obtained by contacting Shelly Hafer, Clerk at [email protected]. The meeting schedule for 2026 is: January 26, February 23, March 30, April 27, May 18, June 29, July 27, August 31, September 28, October 26, November 30, and December 21. All meetings will be held at the AgCredit conference room, 1100 E Center Street, Marion, OH at 4:30 P.M.
