Camp Wat Pa was founded in 2009 as an opportunity for young adults of the Thai American community to give back and share their experiences to the growing generation of Thais. Workshops and activities were aimed to inspire youth as leaders in their communities and develop personal growth through understanding cultural and individualistic identity. PURPOSE

Camp Wat Pa focuses on community developme

nt through youth empowerment and creating memorable experiences that bring the community together. This special camp is organized by Thai American community members who want to share their knowledge, resources, compassion, and friendship to the maturing generation. Campers will participate in a series of learning experiences focused on:

+ Leadership Development: team building, problem-solving, and self empowerment
+ Community Involvement: service learning, volunteerism, community development
+ Self Confidence and Identity: personal growth through understanding individual and cultural identity, self awareness development through mediation practice and Dhamma lectures
