Hello Friends and Neighbors! I'm kicking off the winter holiday season at Dream Big Boutique tomorrow morning, starting at 10am until about noon! Come by and say Hi! As always - I will have free children's books and some cute little holiday give-aways!

We are so excited to host Tunes and Tales tomorrow from 10 to noon at our pop up! Beautiful Harp music and free books for the kiddos! Such a great project by Lauren, a local high school student.

Last June, I had the amazing honor to travel to Normandy France to participate in the 80th D-Day commemoration events with Civil Air Patrol. While there, I met Mr. Chris Langlois, author of How Easy Company Became a Band of Brothers. One of my great uncles-who I never met- was Lynn "Buck" Compton. He was one of the Band of Brothers. I had the most interesting and memorable conversation with the author, as he had known my uncle. I guess I could say I travelled to Normandy and got to know one of my great uncles a little bit, even though he lived most of his life in Los Angeles!

Last spring I was honored to meet Dr. Ben Carson and his wife when I was named the 2024 Carson Scholar for LaPlata High School. I love to read! And that is why I love my work with Tunes and Tales. It allows me to share my love of reading with local children. Currently, 2235 books have been given to children in Charles County! Tunes and Tales is the primary reason I was honored with this very special award.

Hello all! I had such a great time playing at the La Plata High School craft fair last weekend. That is another 197 books given to local children, thank you so much to Stephanie Renee Gioia for giving me the pleasure! It was extra special to be able to share the stage with members of Show Troope!
