Lapine Community Kitchen & Pantry

Lapine Community Kitchen & Pantry “THIS INSTITUTION IS AN EQUAL OPPURTUNITY PROVIDER”

A nonprofit organization providing assistance with food, clothing, hygiene needs to our community.

The Lapine Community Kitchen started operating in 1999 in partnership with the VFW Post 7242 & VVA Chapter 821 by serving free lunches three days a week by community volunteers. Over the years, we have grown by adding two additional programs to meet our community needs.
* Currently, the Kitchen offers nutritious lunches five days a week, Monday through Friday.
* The Food Pantry is open Tuesday & Friday. Closed the 3rd Friday and open the following Saturday of every month.
* The Clothes Closet is open Tuesday & Friday

LPCK would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the amazing Whole Foods crew for spending the day with us and volunteering their time to support our mission!

Whole Foods continues to make a tremendous impact in our community through their generous weekly food donations, helping us serve those in need every day. We were thrilled to receive the call that they wanted to come out and serve alongside us, and their hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication were truly appreciated.

Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to our community. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon!

❤️🥕🥫 Thank you, Whole Foods, for helping us make a difference!

🍽️ LPCK Menu 9/7–9/11 🍽️

🇺🇸 Monday: CLOSED for Labor Day. Even the spatulas negotiated a day off.

🍠 Tuesday: Ground Turkey Sweet Potato Casserole & Salad Bar. It’s healthy enough to make you feel responsible, but tasty enough to come back for seconds.

🌮 Wednesday: Ground Beef Nachos with ALL the fixings. If your nachos don’t require a fork, you probably didn’t do it right.

🥪 Thursday: BBQ Beef Sandwiches, Chips & Macaroni Salad. A combination so good it should come with its own theme song.

🥩 Friday: Roast Beef with Gravy & Roasted Potatoes. Because ending the week with a plate of comfort food is cheaper than therapy.

Come hungry, leave happy, and remember: calories consumed at LPCK are donated to a good cause. 😉

Menu subject to change based on availability.

🍽️🚨 LPCK MENU ALERT! 🚨🍽️

The kitchen crew has once again bravely volunteered to taste-test everything so you don’t have to. Here’s what’s cookin’ this week:

🔥 Monday: BBQ Chicken Bacon Pizza & Salad Bar
(Because sometimes adulting means eating pizza on a Monday.)

🍝 Tuesday: Tuscan Cavatappi Pasta & Salad Bar
(Fancy noodles with a fancy name. Pinkies up.)

🍞 Wednesday: French Toast Bake & Ham Steak
(Breakfast for lunch—the rules are merely suggestions.)

🫑 Thursday: Stuffed Bell Peppers
(Bell peppers stuffed fuller than your pantry after shopping day.)

🌭 Friday: Labor Day Celebration Lunch!
Hot Dogs, Baked Beans, Potato Salad & Chips
(A backyard BBQ without having to mow the lawn.)

SWEET SWEET WATERMELON!!!!

🇺🇸 HOLIDAY NOTICE: LPCK will be CLOSED Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.

Come hungry, bring your appetite, and remember: calories consumed at a community meal are powered by friendship and therefore don’t count. 😉

Menu subject to change based on donations, deliveries, and whatever surprises the food universe sends our way.

LPCK Menu • August 24–28

🚨 Warning: This week’s menu may cause sudden happiness, uncontrollable drooling, and the urge to ask for seconds.

🍽️ Monday: Chili Mac with Texas Toast & Salad Bar
(Because Mondays are hard and carbs are cheaper than therapy.)

🥢 Tuesday: Teriyaki Beef Noodle Stir Fry & Asian Slaw
(Our noodles have traveled farther than most of us this summer.)

🥘 Wednesday: Chicken Noodle Casserole & Salad Bar
(Grandma-approved comfort food without the lecture.)

🌮 Thursday: Pork Carnitas Stacked Enchiladas & Refried Beans
(Stacked higher than your “I’ll start my diet next week” promises.)

🥩 Friday: Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Potatoes & Salad Bar
(The kind of Friday that makes people suddenly remember where LPCK is.)

Come hungry. Leave happy. Try not to lick the plate—we’re running low on volunteers willing to wash them. 😆

Menu subject to change due to availability.
