Chad Hicks, a beloved member of DC911's dispatch team has been diagnosed with bladder cancer. He and his family have decided to take the aggressive approach, and he has already undergone multiple surgeries and has a plan to start treatment soon. Medical bills will be getting very expensive for the Hicks family, and there are additional costs that won’t be covered by insurance. We will be holding a pie fundraiser to help raise money to help Chad and family with costs. I have created a direct email for orders or questions, [email protected] , the fundraiser will run from 8/1/2024 - 09/01/2024 and pies will be delivered on 10/7/2024 (location and time of delivery is TBD, it will be in Bend). If you have any questions please feel free to email or reach out to me. Payment for pies can be done with cash, check, venmo (-Brewster22). 9” fruit pies $17, cream pies $17, cobbler $13, fruit variety mini pies $24

The Darlene 3 fire has “grown” to 3880 acres. We use quotes because that acreage includes fortified fire lines and back burning completed overnight. Last nights weather coupled with today’s forecast should mean decreased fire activity overall. For current fire information, please call 541–316–7711, or visit www.CentralOregonfire.org
