Sitka is on her way to us! 💕 There are so many ways you can help with rescuing dogs with Homeward Bownd.
You can donate.
You can volunteer at events or make something for it, like our upcoming bake sale! We also have talented creatives that donate their time and/or a variety of things they make (photography, stickers, water bottles, bandanas, etc.)
You can help with transportation from one place to another - a lot of our dogs come from out of state. There is a whoooole team of kind-hearted people taking legs across the country to get Sitka from Texas to us! 💕
You can foster! We ALWAYS need more fosters. If you are in central/eastern Iowa or NW Illinois we would love to have you! More safe places for dogs to land means more we can pull from tough situations.
Lastly, you can adopt. These dogs just want a forever family to spend their lives with.
Want to get involved? Reach out! We would love to have you!

Respectfully friends, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! How is Lucky, our sweet groom, still with us and not in a home like this good boy deserves! 💕

Let's get lucky adopted next! He is sweet, goofy, and so lovable. He loves other dogs, but he is not good with cats. Oh, and he has the cutest 'freckles' I have ever seen! 😍

It is time for furry friends! 🎉🎉

On the current line up we have Lucky, Cian, Xena, Skye, Haven, and Huxley.

Vento and Diamond were adopted!! 🎉

We do have several pending apps and meet and greet scheduled for some of these pups so our list may be even shorter next week! Lucky and Cian don't have any love pending though -- Can we get them some apps too?!
They would all love attention and a new home too ❤️‍🩹 https://www.petfinder.com/member/us/ia/la-motte/homeward-bownd-siberian-husky-rescue-ia198/?_gl=1*ls5tea*_gcl_au*MTYwMjQ3NDY0NC4xNzY5Mjc0ODg3*_ga*NjU3ODI5NDY3LjE3NjkyNzQxNDU.*_ga_5H1R91DP2Q*czE3NjkyNzQxNDUkbzEkZzEkdDE3NjkyNzUxNjkkajYwJGwwJGgw

Just a daily dose of cute and a reminder why we do what we do. This is Xena and Haven. These two beautiful ladies came to us to rescue separately, went to different fosters originally, and are now in a new foster home, just recently meeting. And this is what they do. Cuddle up together. Knowing they are safe and cozy. 💕

🟡 Spotlight on Skye 🟡

Meet Skye! This sweet four-month-old husky mix is blossoming into a wonderfully gentle and playful companion.
While she is still learning to navigate new sights and sounds, Skye is gaining confidence every day. She is a total superstar at taking treats with the utmost gentleness and is doing a fantastic job with her potty training. She also settles into her kennel like a dream and is completely quiet and cooperative at bedtime.
Full of puppy joy, Skye loves nothing more than playing with other dogs and kids, and she is already mastering her basic commands like "sit." This affectionate, well-mannered little girl is ready to bring so much love and fun to her forever family!

Alright pack - It is time for furry friends!

The change ups - we added Haven and Huxley. Even better Lolly was removed! A family fell in love with her at the Grimes Candy Crawl so our girl is going home!! 🎉

Please note - with the feature yesterday we have recieved 7 APPS for Haven!! 🙌🎉 safe to say, I think she has found a forever home in the stack. Can we carry this energy to any of our other pups?
They would all love attention and a new home too ❤️‍🩹 https://www.petfinder.com/member/us/ia/la-motte/homeward-bownd-siberian-husky-rescue-ia198/?_gl=1*ls5tea*_gcl_au*MTYwMjQ3NDY0NC4xNzY5Mjc0ODg3*_ga*NjU3ODI5NDY3LjE3NjkyNzQxNDU.*_ga_5H1R91DP2Q*czE3NjkyNzQxNDUkbzEkZzEkdDE3NjkyNzUxNjkkajYwJGwwJGgw
