Happy New Year from all of us at the LaMoille Ambulance. We would like to recap the year. The LaMoille Ambulance currently has 2 Paramedics, 6 EMTs, 3 EMRs, and 1 Provisional EMR on our roster. We run a Basic Life Support service, any calls above that can call and request an Advanced Life Support intercept from one of our Neighboring EMS departments enroute to the hospital. We also have several firefighters and honorary firefighters that help us on calls with lifting power and getting needed supplies. The LaMoille Ambulance went to 110 calls in 2025, out of the 110 calls 72 of the calls resulted in transport to the hospital. Our calls for the year have ranged from accidental alarms, fall/lift assist, medical calls, Motor vehicle accidents, fire assist/fire rehab, no patient contact, and DOAs.

We are still looking for more EMTs and EMRs to join our team. If you are not currently an EMT or EMR but would like to become one, please let us know and we will help you find a class. If you are a high school student under the age of 18 you can take an EMR class and become a provisional EMR that automatically becomes an EMR on your 18th birthday. Scholarships are available for those that live in our district they are provided generously by the LaMoille Fire Protection District Trustees.

Please be prepared. Only travel if necessary. Have all essentials with you if you do decide to travel. Also they are calling for very wet and heavy snow ❄️ sometimes referred to heart attack snow. If you decide to shovel work slowly and take frequent breaks. Stay safe out there.
