We have a hike planned for this Sunday at El Dorado Nature Center in Long Beach.

When:
Sunday, June 19th at 8:00 am, we plan to be on the trail by 8:00 am. Drive time from La Mirada is around 30 minutes. Plan to arrive early to locate the trailhead and find parking.
Description:
The hike is a 2-mile loop and is mostly shaded. The trail winds around two lakes, a stream, and forested areas. There is also a nature center for the scouts to explore between the trailhead and the parking lot. Hike time will be between 1 and 1.5 hours.
What to Bring:
Please bring all six essentials: water (at least 1 liter per person), trail snacks, sun protection (sunscreen, hat, sunglasses), flashlight, whistle, first aid kit.
What to Wear:
Scouts should wear class B shirts. Wear appropriate shoes/boots for trail hiking. Hats are recommended (scouts may wear rank hats). Dress in layers for best comfort.
Weather:
The forecast is sunny with a high of 85. Plan for it to be warm.
