Mr. Benge has been named a quarterfinalist for the 2027 Music Educator Grammy Award—an incredible national honor presented by the Recording Academy! 👏

Out of educators across the country, he is one of just 200 quarterfinalists, with semifinalists to be announced in September.

Okay folks, one more chance to enjoy some outstanding music before the end of this school year. Come out on Tuesday, May 12 for an evening of Jazz music at the beautiful Helix Performing Arts Center.
This event will feature the Helix Jazz Ensemble, the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts Jazz Ensemble, and the Grossmont College Jazz Ensemble.
It is sure to be a fun-filled evening with impressive performances by all.

The Orchestra students got the opportunity to attend the Imagination Campus music workshop backstage at California Adventure on Friday, and what an experience it was!! Directed by a Disney composer/conductor, they learned and recorded excerpts from a few Disney soundtracks. After that they spent the rest of the day enjoying the magic of Disneyland with their friends. What a day!!
