We're PILT (PATH Interscholastic Leadership Team), a K--12 student-led organization based in San Diego County to help people experiencing homelessness. Our motto is Community, Collaboration, and Compassion. We have 19 partner schools who we work with to support our like-minded organizations: PATH, YMCA Housing Our Youth, YMCA Transitional Age Youth, Sharia's Closet, and Kids Outreach Initiative.

Any donations would go to supplying hygiene products, food, clothing, and any other items in high demand. We would provide for our vulnerable neighbors and our partner organizations supporting them. Your donations would also help us pay our website's annual fee and allow us to pair our members with a team t-shirt.

Thank you and please help us tackle this problem to make our fellow community members' day a little brighter.

Community Outreach Club members and PILTers sold pizza at San Diego High School to make care kits for Kids Outreach Initiative. Their collaboration with SDHS Interact Club will allow them to make double the amount of care kits. Thank you to our club members and PILTers who helped out today and to our Interacters for supporting people experiencing homelessness.

PILTers and Community Outreach Club members at San Diego High School helped hand out fresh produce and canned food today after school. SDHS hosts the food pantry once a month to support Caver families and reaches out to volunteers for help. Tomorrow, Minori will be dropping off the left-over food donations from Sage Mountain Farm at PATH Connections to be served by the kitchen crew to PATH's clients.

We’re so excited to share that PILT just completed our very first group project together and it was a huge success! Thank you to all our PILT members and Community Outreach Club (SDHS) volunteers" who participated in the dinner service. Your time, compassion, and leadership truly made a difference. Together, we helped prepare and serve meals to individuals experiencing homelessness and supported PATH’s permanent and interim clients, showing what youth leadership and collaboration can achieve. GO PILT!!

Welcome everyone to the 2025–2026 school year! We’re thrilled to be back and ready for another impactful year with PILT. As always, our mission remains strong, to support people who are experiencing homelessness in our communities. Together, we’re continuing the work that matters, driven by compassion, action, and the power of youth leadership. This year, we’re aiming even higher. We’ll be launching new projects, building new partnerships, and expanding our outreach. Let’s make this year memorable. Let’s show the world the power of what we can do if we put our minds to it. Let’s keep fighting for change together!

We are super excited to see what opportunities the 2025–2026 school year holds for us!

With love,
PILT

Thank you so much to PATH volunteers and their clients for welcoming PILTers at Connections! Community Outreach Club members had lots of fun cooking and serving dinner on Friday, as well as making sandwiches and assembling outreach food bags. Their total of nearly 100 sandwich bags were given out by direct outreach volunteers the following weekend. Thank you to Chef Brian for instructing them and making sure that they provided food on time and qualitatively, Ms. Struben for organizing the event, and to Minori’s mom, Ms. Brown, and all other volunteers involved.

Thank you so much to St. Columba Catholic School for inviting us to present about community, homelessness, and taking leadership. A special thanks to Principal Davoren for inviting us and to all the teachers who welcomed us into their classroom and made time in their schedules for our visit. PILT members Minori, Aya, and Nicolo had a wonderful time working with the 7th and 8th grade students to complete the “my definition of community” activity and discussing their responsibility as members of the community to solve problems within their environment. Our PILTers were happy to hear about their gardening project and have brave students speak up to share and answer questions. We will continue raising awareness about homelessness and encourage students to get involved in their communities.
