Spotlight on a hero of the horse world ...the amazing Karen Thaller, the founder of Risen From the Ashes. Here she is pictured with her husband Anthony, her daughter Emmalee and the late, great Ben. Ben was a sheriff posse horse who unfortunately passed last year. Ben was a community and rescue favorite. Risen From the Ashes takes on some of the most challenging rescues and is able to give these lucky animals a wonderful new life. We will be doing a dinner for the Mustangs soon to raise funds for this and all our featured rescues ❤️ 🐴

We are continuing our fundraiser for the adorable little mare named Hope at Lifesavers Wild Horse Rescue . If anyone is a stamp lover or just loved the year 1982, whoever makes the next donation of $150 or more, will receive this beautiful custom stamp collection. Beautiful "golden girl" Hope is a senior Belgian mare who came to Lifesavers Wild Horse Rescue as a yearling in 2002 ...

Beautiful "golden girl" Hope is a senior Belgian mare who came to Lifesavers Wild Horse Rescue as a yearling in 2002 from a PMU foal rescue. Hope was adopted soon afterwards by a Lifesaver volunteer who later became a Board Member and took great care of Hope for years, until family and financial hardship caused a need for Hope to come back to Lifesavers. Today Hope spends her days dozing beneath shade trees and sharing her breakfast and dinner with her herdmates. Due to her age, the folks at Lifesavers feed her alfalfa and oat cubes which are easier to chew and digest for older horses. She's 26 years old now and she's living such a happy life. Lifesavers Wild Horse Rescue takes in so many horses at great expense. We are now starting a special fundraiser for this wonderful and very deserving horse. We are thrilled to report that Snickers and Rollo are now living on a sanctuary that totals 13,000 acres in northern Idaho. Thanks to a joint effort by Jennie Sloan of RJF Equine and Rewilding America Now, our "candy bar kids" are again living the life they were meant to live as true wild horses. We are going to be doing a "Dinner for the Mustangs" this fall.. stay tuned for details!
