The Baby Stewart Foundation

The Baby Stewart Foundation The Baby Stewart Foundation is a 501c3 founded by Ashley Stewart, in memory of her infant son, Carylton “CJ” Stewart, Jr.

On August 6, 2015, CJ Stewart died after being left alone in a hot vehicle. Although accidental, we found that we are not alone in this. Every year, 37 babies die as a result of being left alone in a hot vehicle for an extended time. We want to shed light on this epidemic and positively impact the community by reaching out to families who have lost a child, provide families with car seats and baby items, and support females during pregnancy.

This morning, I had the opportunity to refill the hygiene cart and donate PR Soles Recovery Shoes & new undergarments at Ignite! 🩵🧼

It’s a blessing to make sure students have access to adequate hygiene supplies.

Happy National Nonprofit Day 🩵

In August 2015, shortly after the loss of my baby boy, CJ, God spoke to my heart and told me to keep his legacy alive. He placed the vision for The Baby Stewart Foundation in my heart, and I stepped out on faith.

My mentor, Barry Silverberg, helped get everything started. My family and friends stood beside me, poured into the vision, contributed, volunteered, and helped carry this mission before the rest of the world ever knew our name.

I was told we wouldn’t make it.
I was told no one would want us to serve them.
I was rejected and many doors slammed on me.
But God had already shown me the vision.

Today, The Baby Stewart Foundation has served people from Texas all the way to Florida and in 7 countries. At an orphanage in Mexico, CJ was honored during Children’s Day. We have built incredible corporate partnerships, supported other nonprofits, churches, schools, organizations, causes, and companies, and contributed resources to communities in need.

What started from my grief became a mission of compassion, service, purpose, and legacy.

I am grateful for every person who believed in us before the world did. Every donation. Every volunteer. Every partnership. Every prayer. Every family we have been blessed to serve.

CJ’s life continues to make an impact. His legacy lives on. 🩵🪽

We serve because we believe every family deserves to know they are not alone.

11 years ago today, my angel, CJ, left this earth. He was simply too beautiful for this world and he never had the chance to leave his footprints here. Yet in his short life, he brought me immeasurable joy, forever changed my heart, made me a better mother and person, and gave me memories that continue to warm my soul.

Not a day goes by that I don't miss CJ. The love I have for my son has never faded—it has only grown stronger with time.

As long as I have breath in my body, I will say CJ’s name, honor his life, and keep his legacy alive. His story did not end the day he went to Heaven. It lives on through every family we serve, every life we touch, and every act of kindness done in CJ’s memory.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever young.

This morning, Walmart told us their goal was to fill up our U-Haul truck—and they did just that! My heart is overflowing with gratitude for their generosity and unwavering commitment to helping us fulfill the mission of The Baby Stewart Foundation.

Together, we are making a difference—one truckload at a time. And I thank Him! 🩵🚚

I long for you, my son.

Time has stood still.

The world lost its color, and everything became black and white the day you left.

I searched for you everywhere, longing to see your infectious smile one more time. Longing to hear your laughter again, to feel your gentle touch, your tender kisses, and your sweet embrace.

Grief is hard.

I treasure the nights when you visit me in my dreams because, in those moments, we are together again, and happiness fills my heart. Then I wake, and the tears fall like raindrops.

Yet, despite the pain, I am forever grateful that I am blessed to be your mother. To have loved you, held you, and experienced your beautiful life is a gift I will cherish for all of my days.

I carry a lifetime of precious memories in my heart.

Tomorrow marks 11 years since you've been gone, but not a single day has passed without you being loved, missed, and remembered.

The love I have for you will never fade. It is eternal.

Until we meet again, my sweet CJ. 🩵
