We received a referral from Galveston County ROSC for a young mother and her two boys, ages 1 and 7, who are survivors of domestic violence. They are relocating to Texas City and are working to rebuild their lives with very few belongings.

We are hoping our community can help provide some basic household and children’s items to help them get settled safely and comfortably.

Current Needs:

We’re looking for a few essentials to help make their new place feel like home:

• Twin bed with mattress, comforter, and sheets for a 7-year-old boy
• Toddler bed with mattress, pillow, comforter, and sheets for a 1-year-old boy
• Curtains for 10 full-length windows
• Vacuum cleaner
• Boys clothing size 8 (shirts, pants, socks, underwear)
• Boys clothing size 2T (shirts, pants, socks)

The boys would also appreciate gently used toys, books, stuffed animals, or other age-appropriate items.

If you can donate any of these items or would like to help in another way, please send us a message. Every act of kindness helps this family take another step toward healing and stability.

Thank you for caring and for helping us support families in our community. ❤️

Please share this post to help us reach those who may be able to assist.

Update: ❤️

The young family from Galveston has safely arrived in Washington and is finally home with their loved ones as they continue seeking medical care for their precious baby.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who shared their story, reached out with encouragement, donated, prayed, and helped make this move possible. Because of your kindness and generosity, this young family was able to get where they needed to be and be surrounded by the support of family during this difficult season.

Thank you for being the hands and feet of compassion. Your support has made a real difference, and we know this family feels deeply loved and cared for.

Please continue to keep them and their baby in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate the road ahead. ❤️🙏

Today's delivery to Galveston took an unexpected turn when someone helped themselves to our storage area in Santa Fe, taking seven metal bed frames stacked near the entrance. Interestingly, they even took the time to remove the wheels which weren’t clean and tossed them into a tub filled with clean sheets. Despite the unusual circumstances, we're choosing to focus on the kindness of strangers. We'd originally delivered furniture to a lovely lady in Galveston, referred to us by Galveston County ROSC, but unfortunately left the frame behind. Upon our return, everything was gone. Now, we're in need of a queen frame and wonder if anyone might have one to spare or sell at a reasonable price - please consider commenting or sending us a DM.

There is a mother with two children in the Webster area. The children have been sleeping on the floor for quite some time, and we are trying to help them secure a bunk bed as soon as possible.

If you are able to help or donate a bunk bed, please send a DM or comment below. We will coordinate pickup and delivery details.

Thank you to everyone who continues to show up for families in need.

Last night, we made a delivery to help a disabled woman and her son who had just come out of homelessness and into a place of their own. Two amazing people from Come and See Friends Church showed up and helped us carry furniture in—reminding us what real community looks like. Thank you Come And See Friends Church! 💞

While we were there, we learned that she recently lost her husband. You could feel the weight of that loss in the room. They’re not just starting over from homelessness—they’re trying to navigate life without him, too. It’s been hard.

On our way out, we met another man.

He had just recently left a local men’s rehabilitation program. As we stood there talking, he shared something that stuck with us—before entering the program, he had been chronically homeless for over 20 years.

Twenty years.

When he completed the program, he was placed on a housing waitlist. Determined not to return to his old life, he lived in his truck while doing everything he could to stay on track. He kept showing up. Kept pushing forward. And eventually, he was able to get into a small apartment of his own.

We went to see his place—and while it’s not empty, it’s very minimal. He has the basics, but not much beyond that. Like so many starting over, he’s rebuilding piece by piece.

Right now, between these households, the needs are simple but meaningful:
• Coffee tables
• Kitchen chairs (5–6 total)
• A dresser
• A small living room rug

This is what rebuilding looks like… Not big, flashy moments—but small, steady steps toward stability.

If you have any of these items you’d be willing to donate, or feel led to help in any way, please reach out.

Let’s keep showing people they’re not alone.

💞FROM HOMELESSNESS TO HOUSING—BUT STILL NOT HOME.💞

She finally made it inside.

After more than 3 years of homelessness, a woman in Texas City referred to us by Come And See Friends Church, now has housing—but not yet a home.

Everything she owned has been lost over time, and she is now starting over with nothing. Because of her disability, she cannot safely move around her apartment and has been sleeping in a chair simply because there is nowhere else for her to rest.

She lives with her son, and right now they are trying to rebuild from the ground up.

What she needs most urgently is simple:
a bed… a safe place to rest… and the basic things that turn an empty apartment into a livable home.

If you can help furnish even one part of this space, you would be directly changing her daily reality.

Please message Operation Hope or comment below if you’re able to help. 💞
