Freedom House in Dickinson contacted us with a need for one of their ladies who is moving into a new place on September 2nd. She is in need of a full-size bed, nightstand, dresser with mirror, and a bookshelf.

She will be moving to Kemah to become a house manager at a sober living home. 🩷

There is something so beautiful about watching people take what they have been through and use it to help others who are now walking a path they once had to walk themselves. What once was part of her struggle is now becoming part of someone else’s hope. That is recovery. That is purpose. That is the beauty of a second chance.

Galveston County ROSC has sent us a request for a microwave, air fryer, and toaster for a women’s transitional living home in Galveston.

These items will help provide comfort and convenience for women as they work toward rebuilding their lives and transitioning into a new beginning. 💗

Help Us Furnish a New Home ❤️

We received a request from Freedom House in Dickinson to help a 53-year-old woman who is rebuilding her life after addiction.

She has been sober for 15 months and has spent the last 13 months at Freedom House. After completing treatment, she quickly found employment and worked at Goodwill for 10 months. She now works as a Recovery Advocate at Kemah Palms Recovery Center, helping others on their own recovery journeys.

She is also a member of Hope Drug Court and is scheduled to graduate on August 24th, 2026. She recently signed a lease on her own apartment and has been waiting to move in until after graduation.

Now she is ready for this next chapter—and she needs help turning her apartment into a home. ❤️

She is in need of:

💙 Please Keep Baby Todd and His Parents in Your Prayers 💙

Many of you know that Operation Hope, YANA, is only able to do what we do because of people who are willing to give their time, their hearts, and their hands to help others.

For the past couple of years, two of our most faithful volunteers have been our son and his wife. They have been there for so many of our deliveries and furniture pickups. Our son has been beside us on countless deliveries, loading, unloading, carrying furniture, and doing whatever needed to be done. His wife has helped us prepare and set up homes, making sure families walked into a place that felt like home.

They haven’t just been volunteers. They are family, and they have been a huge part of Operation Hope.

Right now, though, their family is going through something we never expected. Their sweet baby boy, Todd, was born far too early, 22 weeks, and their focus needs to be exactly where it belongs—with their precious son and with each other. ❤️

Because of this, they won’t be able to continue helping with our deliveries and pickups for the foreseeable future. And honestly, we are going to miss them more than words can say.

It also means Operation Hope will have to make some changes. We may not be able to complete deliveries and pickups as quickly as we have in the past, and there may be times when we have to ask for additional help or delay a delivery until we have enough volunteers.

We don’t say that to ask anyone to feel sorry for us. We simply want to be honest with the families we serve and with the people who support Operation Hope. ❤️

Right now, our biggest request isn’t for furniture or donations. It’s for PRAYER.

Please pray for Baby Todd—for strength, healing, and every precious breath.

Please pray for his mom and dad as they navigate something no parent should ever have to face.

And please pray for them as a couple, that God would give them strength, peace, patience, and comfort as they walk through these incredibly difficult days together.

We believe in the power of prayer, and we believe that God is holding this precious little boy in His hands. 🙏💙

And when the time is right, we will figure out the rest.

Operation Hope may look a little different for a while, but our mission remains the same: helping people who need hope know that they are not alone.

There is something so beautiful about watching hope become reality.

This week we had the privilege of helping furnish a small efficiency apartment for a young man who is beginning a new chapter. After completing inpatient treatment, overcoming homelessness, and faithfully working his recovery while living at Danny’s By The Sea sober living, he is now ready for a place of his own.

He never asked us for help. A friend with Galveston County ROSC asked if he would be willing to accept our help because she knew he was ready to take this next step. He had seen others receive assistance but never expected anything for himself. That humility spoke volumes.

Because of your generosity, this little apartment is becoming a home—a place where he can continue building the life he has worked so hard to reclaim.

Recovery is about so much more than getting sober. It’s about restoring dignity, creating stability, and reminding someone they are not alone.

To every person who donates furniture, household items, financial support, or simply prays for those we serve—thank you. You are changing lives. Your generosity provides more than furniture; it offers hope, encouragement, and a fresh start.

Please join us in praying for this young man as he continues his recovery journey. This weekend we had the privilege of helping furnish a home for a young lady who has been working on her recovery over the past several years. She recently graduated from the Samaritan Women’s Home, is working full time, and now has a place of her own in Galveston.

She is still in need of a few things to complete her home: chairs for the dining table shown in the pictures and a coffee table.

This past weekend, we had the privilege of delivering a bed to a young woman who recently left sober living.

She had the opportunity to go back home, but she made the courageous decision to stay here because she knew returning to the place where addiction once held her captive could jeopardize everything God has been helping her rebuild.

For the past year, she has faithfully shown up to the same full-time job. She recently moved into an apartment with a roommate who encourages her, supports her recovery, and helps hold her accountable. Even though she had been sleeping on the floor, she never gave up. She kept putting one foot in front of the other.

When we heard about her situation, we knew we wanted to help.

Sometimes people think a bed is just a piece of furniture. But sometimes it’s a reminder that someone sees you, believes in you, and is praying that your future will look nothing like your past.

I truly believe God delights in new beginnings. He takes what is broken and, little by little, begins to restore it. We are so thankful to play a small part in that story.

Thank you to everyone who supports Operation Hope, YANA. Your generosity is more than furniture or household items. It is hope. It is love in action. It is a reminder to those who are struggling that they are seen, they are valued, and they are never alone.

New beginnings. 🤍

Over the last few weeks, we have had the privilege of helping several families in our community.

One sweet mom, whom we had the opportunity to help before, reached out because she needed a bed for one of her children now that their home situation has become more stable. Another mom recently moved into a slightly larger apartment for herself and her daughters and needed a few essentials to help make their new place feel like home.

While we were delivering to one of the homes, we also had a scary moment when one of our tires sank into the access point for an underground high-voltage line. At first, the guys didn’t know what it had sunk into, so they were trying to dig it out while standing in wet grass. Looking back, we know God was looking out for them and protecting everyone there.

These may seem like simple things, but they represent so much more—hope, stability, and fresh beginnings.

Both families were incredibly grateful, not only for the items they received, but for the kindness shown to them. Thank you to everyone who donates, volunteers, and prays for the families we serve. Because of you, they are reminded that they are seen, they are loved, and they are not alone. ❤️
