The work is done. 🕯️🤍
Hundreds of luminaries placed by caring hands, each one carrying a memory, a prayer, a hope.

Tonight, City Park will glow as the City dims the lights, letting these candles speak for themselves.

This moment exists because our community showed up — and because the Fort Bent 4-H group stepped in with willing hands and big hearts.

They haven’t been lit yet… but the love already is.
Come experience it with us.

To our beloved community,

For so many years, our Annual Toys for Tots Toy Drive has been one of the brightest lights of the season — a tradition built on generosity, compassion, and the belief that every child deserves to experience the joy of Christmas morning. It has always been your kindness that filled the bins… and ultimately filled children’s hearts.

This year, however, we find ourselves in a place we never imagined.
Due to the rising cost of toys and significantly lower donations than years past, we are heartbroken to share that we are unable to host our toy drive as we have always done.

This is not a decision we take lightly. We know the excitement those gifts bring. We know the families who quietly breathe a sigh of relief when they receive them. We know the impact — because we’ve seen the smiles, the tears, and the gratitude firsthand.

But today, we need your help.

TRY has always been about community — standing together, lifting one another up, and making sure no child is forgotten. To continue this mission, we are urgently seeking volunteers, partners, and monetary donations so that TRY can remain a source of hope in La Junta and the surrounding area.

If you have ever given a toy… volunteered your time… shared our posts… or simply believed in what we do — we are asking you now, from the bottom of our hearts, to help us keep TRY alive.

Every contribution — no matter the size — makes a real difference. Together, we can ensure that our community’s most vulnerable children feel loved, valued, and remembered not just during the holidays, but all year long.
