Welcome to the Sigma Phi Epsilon, California Rho Chapter page! SigEp is a principle-centered fraternity.

Sigma Phi Epsilon, or SigEp, was founded on November 1, 1901, at Richmond College (now the University of Richmond). It was founded on the three cardinal principles of Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love. Today, Sigma Phi Epsilon is one of the largest social fraternities in the United States in terms of current undergraduate membership, and boasts one of the most impressive alumni networks as wel

Everything that SigEp exerts its resources towards follows the directive of giving its members a rich and fulfilling experience while also contributing to the multiple communities that SigEp is tied into. The Cal Rho Chapter works hard to stay plugged into the university, the Greek system and the greater SigEp Organization on a regional and national scale. Academic excellence, diversity and philanthropic success are traits that can be applied to the UCSD SigEp Chapter. The men of SigEp strive to stay proactive and self-sustaining while working with their brothers to build a constantly evolving fraternity. The most notable feature of SigEp is that every member is a unique individual. The wide range of personalities and backgrounds that the membership attains is what makes it such a valuable brotherhood. And so when SigEp's men reach their final days at UCSD, they take away memories that are cherished for life and friendships that last until death.

Each of them brings something unique and special to our chapter, and we couldn’t be more grateful — here’s what they had to say!

Evey: I’m delighted to be one of the sweethearts for this chapter and even more thrilled to be sharing this experience with the lovely Minji and Sawyer! This fraternity is full of some of the most genuine and fun people, and it’s truly an honor to celebrate and support everything this brotherhood represents. I can’t wait to make so many amazing memories with this chapter this year!

Sawyer: I’m so excited to be a SigEp sweetheart! The brothers of SigEp have made me feel welcomed and appreciated since day one. This chapter has brought me some of my favorite people (shoutout Eli!), and I can’t wait for the laughs and memories we’ll share this year!

Minji: I’m so excited to be one of sigep’s sweethearts this year! This chapter has brought me so many unforgettable memories since I have started college and some of my bestest friends! They have always made me feel welcomed and I can’t wait to see what more is to come!

Brandon is a third year Cognitive Science major with a specialization in Machine Learning and Neural Computation from NorCal! Brandon has made a big impact on the chapter during his two years in SigEp.

Hey everyone!! With fall rush approaching, I’m really excited to meet all of y’all who are interested in Greek life. Joining SigEp as a first-year was one of the best decisions I’ve made since coming to UCSD. This chapter has helped me so much throughout my college experience, and I’m grateful for all the lifelong friendships I’ve made along the way. Huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported SigEp’s DODGE FOR A CURE 2025 Philanthropy!

We are honored to share that all of the proceeds raised from this past week will be going to the Compassion Breast Foundation to support their mission to fight breast cancer. Thank you to everyone for the generous donations!

Congratulations to for winning the dodgeball tournament and overall philanthropy and for placing second place in both.

Big shout out to Evan Crain for being the man who put this philanthropy together!
