Masonry is the San Diego's first and largest fraternity. California has more than 60,000 members and about 340 lodges located throughout the state.

The freemasons are the worlds oldest and largest fraternity. In existence for over a thousand years it is built upon the concept of fellowship and brotherly love. Often mistaken for a religion or secret society, the masons are a fraternity of brothers who's strength lies in the bonds that exist among the brethren. There is no place on earth that has not been touched by the light of freemasonry. Di

ctators may at times oppress it for in some cases several centuries but it cannot be extinguished. It is for this reason that it remains a secretive organization in certain parts of the world. Here in San Diego however we have regular get togethers where guys from the general public can meet us and have any questions they might have answered. If you want to be notified when we are meeting again, please email us and request such. Events held at our lodge building require a coat and tie and may have fees. During World War II, Freemasons in N**i Germany faced persecution. To remain connected in secrecy, they adopted the forget-me-not as a subtle emblem of solidarity and resilience. After the war, this small flower became a powerful reminder of perseverance and unity.

This week, the Masons of California, together with , announced a $390,000, three-year grant in support of its College Career Technical education (CCTE) programs.⁠

The grant will enable Unified to expand its CCTE programming to more high schools within the district and serve an additional 3,000 students through these transformative programs specifically within the automotive technology and building construction trades industries.⁠
