THE FIRST, ONLY, AND LARGEST INTERNATIONAL ASIAN-AMERICAN INTEREST FRATERNITY IN THE WORLD! Lambda Phi Epsilon was founded at the University of California, Los Angeles on February 25, 1981, and is the largest Asian-American interest fraternity in the United States, with more than 50 chapters and

more than 10,000 brothers. Since our inception, Lambda Phi Epsilon's goals have been to exemplify the highest standards of Academic Performance, Social Experience, Service to the Community, and most importantly Brotherhood among its members. Part of that Brotherhood is expressed in our motto "To be Leaders Among Men." We not only seek to bring together a diverse group of men who share interests, concerns, backgrounds and cultures, but who believe that the strength of many are forged into the power of being one. Grounded on the principles of wisdom, honor, and courage; our Active Division continues to teach young men principles of leadership and strong moral character. Our Alumni Division then provides a forum in which brothers may apply these beliefs and become true leaders of society. It is that unique life long commitment to lead in every arena of life that makes "the Lambdas" the most respected organization of it's kind. We, the members of Lambda Phi Epsilon National Fraternity, strive to promote Asian American Awareness in our surrounding communities through the promotion of Asian American interest activities. Embodying our Fraternity’s motto to be Leaders Among Men, we are now calling on the wider community to be Leaders Among People

JUSTICE:
In the light of the killings of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless other victims of racism, our brothers of Lambda Phi Epsilon at Iota Chapter have reflected upon our purposes as a fraternity. With our history as an Asian American interest fraternity, we want to step up to show solidarity with the Black community as well as other groups affected by racism locally in San Diego, statewide in California, and nationally in the U.S.

LEADERS AMONG PEOPLE:
The Asian American community has had a long history of silence when those in the Black community faced anti-Black racism, and in many cases, are causes of anti-Black racism as well. This period of silence needs to end, and now is the time to mobilize as a community in order to confront these injustices happening every day across this nation.

CALL TO ACTION:
While bringing awareness to the cause of anti-racism and issues that the Black community face on an everyday basis is important, we believe that it is time to move past reposting on social media into creating a movement with real change. Beginning today, our chapter will plan and work to provide ways we can all engage in anti-racism activism. It’is time to move past momentary protest and short term solutions.
