🌽📊 USDA Prospective Plantings Report – 2026 Breakdown

Here’s what farmers across the U.S. are planning this year:
🔻 Corn: 95.3 million acres (down 3%)
🔺 Soybeans: 84.7 million acres (up 4%)
🔻 Wheat: 43.8 million acres (down 3%)
🔺 Cotton: 9.6 million acres (up 4%)
💡 Big takeaway:

Farmers are shifting acres out of corn and into soybeans this year, likely driven by input costs and market conditions.

📉 Wheat continues to lose ground
📈 Soybeans gaining momentum
🌽 Corn still king—but pulling back
⚠️ Keep in mind:

These are intentions (surveyed in early March) — weather, prices, and fertilizer costs could still change final acres.
