A historic marker similar to this one will be unveiled at the Stone Mills Cemetery on Saturday, June 20th, at 1:00 PM for Patriot Soldier William Collins. Park at the Stone Mills Agricultural Museum and walk across the street to the old wood frame Methodist church for the ceremony. Kudos to Legionnaires Robin Lester, Janine LaClair, Tom LaClair, for cleaning inside the interior of the church today. Also, to President of the Cemetery Association, Tim Baty, for his efforts on the preparing the grounds. During the ceremony, a few comments will be presented inside the church and then attendees will come outside for the actual unveiling. Members of the Klock-Smith American Legion / Sons of the American Legion and buglar will present military honors. Members of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will be on hand.

Hello to all you wonderful blood donors. The Klock-Smith American Legion Post 1788 blood drive is quickly approaching. We are just a tad over two weeks away and we have 10 Power Red slots open and another 17 regular blood drive slots available. If you are already signed up, please accept my sincere appreciation. If not, please consider filling one of the slots. Additionally, ask a family member or friend to join you for the drive. We need people like you to make the drive a success. Respectfully, Tom LaClair, Klock-Smith Legion member.

Earn a $15 e-gift card for coming to give June 1 - 28. The American Red Cross has an urgent need for donors and is counting on people to act now and book a time to give lifesaving blood. Donors are essential in keeping the blood supply strong enough to withstand summer challenges. Scheduled donations, which account for 90% of all blood donations, have dropped sharply in recent weeks. As a result, the blood supply has fallen by several thousand units in just a week, raising concerns that the decline could worsen as we enter trauma season. This period between Memorial Day and Labor Day brings an increase in severe injuries from car accidents, ATV crashes, sports-related injuries and other summer activities. In fact, AAA reports that fatal crashes. As of today, only 7 of 40 slots are filled. Please sign up to give!
