Stevens Point, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Women's Basketball extended it win streak to four games on Satruday afternoon as they defeated UW-Stevens Point 62-57. The Eagles finish the first half of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference 5-2 and are tied for second place.

Charlie’s Kids Fest Presented by Bubba’s Fund || Hosted by UWL Athletics & UWL Women’s Basketball — was everything we hoped it could be: loud, joyful, and full of kids running around having the kind of day they’ll remember.

Yesterday, we had 393 registered participants attend, and it’s safe to say… this event is here to stay. We’re already taking notes and have big plans to make it even better next year.

A few special shoutouts to the people who made the entire thing run:
• UW-La Crosse Athletics & UW-La Crosse Women’s Basketball + the support of Rising Athletes
• Thanks to UW-La Crosse Women's Track and Field & UW-La Crosse Swim & Dive — you were the heart and soul of this event. There isn’t a billboard big enough to show our appreciation. You brought the energy, led activities, kept things moving, and gave your time to the kids of our community.

Also — Josie and Emily. If you saw them at the event, you know. They were getting it DONE and keeping everything smooth behind the scenes. If we’re lucky, we’ll see them leading this event next year - If you don’t know about UWL Student Athlete Advisory Committee, just understand they do good work, for good causes.

Hat tip to Stryker for making appearances throughout the day and bringing the smiles. 🦅

We’ll save celebrating our partners for another post — but for now, just know how grateful we are. Thank you for showing up for kids and for community.

It’s the eve of Charlie’s Kids Fest + Bubba’s Youth Day. 🦅🌈

Tomorrow is going to be a big, beautiful day at Mitchell Hall to honor the legacy of Charlie Lonning Weber and we want to give everyone a quick heads-up:

✅ Arrive early
✅ Expect crowds (the good kind)
✅ Bring your photo ID (read below, as to why)
✅ Concessions will be available in multiple locations for the game
✅ If you’ve got Bubba’s Fund apparel, wear it — if not, UWL gear is always a great choice.

Huge shoutout to UW-La Crosse Athletics — they’ve gone above and beyond what a normal game day requires. Tomorrow we’re all expecting big things, and we can’t wait to see the community show up.
