NONPROFIT STORY TOUR

Does your newsletter bring in $300,000?
In today's video you'll meet Michelle Brinson from the Nashville Rescue Mission.

Michelle talks about what makes her newsletter wildly successful and why it brings in so much money each month, year after year.

But her newsletter wasn't always so successful.

Her newsletter only became wildly successful after Michelle began telling better stories, became truly donor centric, and broke some "newsletter rules". Find out what rules she broke, and how she grew donations with her newsletter. Watch the video below.

Watch today's episode if you want to get some rare insights from one of the most successful newsletter writers I know.

This is an amazing group of giving and caring people that do great things in our community, if you'd like to become a member of the LOTR click on the link to sign up. League of the Ridiculous Once every quarter (four times a year), members nominate local causes or individuals to donate our contributions to. The following week, League members gather and each individual donates $100. Together, we hear from three randomly selected nominees. The membership then votes to choose one recipient to receive 100% of our donations.

Below is information on one of the organizations that was awarded some of the funds collected last quarter.

The Good Fight Community Center was recipient of our top February vote with $10,360 in gifted funds.

"With many positive changes to programming and services offered for youth in this community, this wonderful donation could not have been more perfectly timed. It is always our goal to address the unmet need of our families in a unique way. Those needs identified by the families, children and partners who work closely with the youth--rather than creating blanket programs that may not be the current need.

The funds donated from LOTR, will be used to support said programs and services and ensure that youth always have access to this space. Historically, we have never turned a family away for their inability to pay for their youth's time with this program. But as we all know, everything has a cost. The barrier of membership dues and the cost other opportunities may prevent families from stepping foot in our facility--even if their is an interest or may prevent them from returning if they were able to pay one month and not another. The bottom line for us, is that the child is always welcome and we will find a solution so they can participate without the worry of money. We aim to be Champions for youth and we invite you on this journey with us!"
