Join Wrench & Roll TODAY at 6pm for a ride around the city to kick off Week Without Driving! We'll meet at 6pm at the north end of Riverside Park (by the La Crosse Queen boarding), and roll out at 6:15. Beginner friendly! Party pace! Everyone and every bike welcome!

The full schedule of events can be found at tinyurl.com/WWDLaCrosse or by watching for our posts!

Our driving question of the day is: What parts of your community feel off-limits or invisible when you cannot drive?

This question feels very relevant as we face the possible shutdown of the SMRT bus, a service that provides affordable transit between La Crosse, Prairie Du Chien, Viroqua, Sparta, Tomah, and Westby. This would especially affect the large number of non-drivers in our community who rely on this service to get to work, school, and appointments, visit family, and connect to the rest of the country via Amtrak.

You can find more information and ways to help keep this vital resource by visiting https://lacrosseata.blogspot.com/p/save-smrt.html

🚍✊ What does a bus have to do with justice?

A lot more than you think.

Transit Equity Day isn’t just about buses – it’s about creating a world where everyone has access to safe, affordable, and sustainable transportation. πŸ’‘

It’s about honoring Rosa Parks’ legacy by fighting for public transit that works for everyone:
βœ… Connecting people to work, school, and health care
βœ… Protecting the planet with cleaner, greener transit
βœ… Supporting jobs and fair wages for workers

This February 2–5, join us for Transit Equity Days and learn how public transit creates opportunity, reduces barriers, and moves us toward justice for all.

🌟 Free rides (Feb. 4!)
