Today, we honor the memory of Burnsville Police Officers Paul Elmstrand and Matthew Ruge, and Burnsville Firefighter Paramedic Adam Finseth, whose lives were tragically taken two years ago in the line of duty.

These courageous men acted selflessly to protect seven children who were in harm’s way, demonstrating the true meaning of greater love by laying down one’s life for others.

We remember their bravery, dedication, and the lasting impact they made on their community. As we reflect on their sacrifice, we stand beside their families, friends, and fellow first responders. Their legacy of courage, service, and love will never be forgotten.

Heroes live forever.

The focus of our members is to provide the best service we can to the communities we serve. This is another step towards constant improvement. Our members in La Crosse have been staffing a Tri-State Ambulance part time for multiple years. It’s important to recognize their efforts to date as well as their efforts to improve service into the future. Partnerships whether internal or with surrounding communities are vital to providing the highest levels of public safety service. Thank you to La Crosse Fire Department’s administration for the collaboration to ensure the individuals that are doing the work have a seat at the table.

The La Crosse Fire Department is significantly expanding its partnership with Tri-State Ambulance, moving from a part-time arrangement to a full-time, 24/7 operation.
