Moving Through Workplace Grief and Loss: Resilience, Meaning, and Renewal

Work is one of the primary places where adults experience identity, purpose, community, and a sense of contribution. When loss occurs in the workplace—through layoffs, burnout, moral injury, discrimination, retrenchment on DEI work, program cuts, health care changes, or other transitions we did not choose—it can profoundly disrupt our sense of meaning and connectedness to others.

This workshop invites participants to name and honor forms of grief that often go unrecognized: the loss of identity, community, confidence, vocation, or connection to a mission that once felt life-giving.

NOW HIRING: The Greater La Crosse Area Diversity Council (GLADC) seeks a dynamic, relationship-focused leader to serve as its Part-Time Director. This contract position oversees daily operations, supports the Board of Directors, coordinates events, manages membership and communications, and builds partnerships that advance GLADC's mission of creating more equitable and inclusive workplaces and communities. The ideal candidate has experience in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB), strong organizational and project management skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Constant Contact, and social media platforms. Applicants should be self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable working independently in a contract-based role.
