Great Rivers United Way is hosting a 'Techquity WI device distribution event' in partnership with United Way of Wisconsin, taking place Tuesday, June, 23 in Westby. GRUW and Techquity WI are offering no-cost laptops, how-to guides, and tech support to eligible* individuals in the Coulee Region.

*Eligibility Requirements:
- Resident of Wisconsin
- Do not already have a personal computer/laptop/tablet at home
- Belong to a household: 1) with an income at/below 200% FPL, OR 2) that is underserved,underconnected, low-income, ALICE, and/or was affected by the COVID-19 emergency.

FCC welcomed Wisconsin Lt. Governor Sara Rodriguez to our Monitor Street offices to learn about the many ways we are helping children, adults, and families in La Crosse, Viroqua, Black River Falls, Sparta, and surrounding communities, as well as at our locations in Winona and Caledonia, Minnesota.

We are grateful for all local, state, and federal representatives who come to understand the important work being done by FCC.

Family & Children's Center is launching a new support group starting soon!

Build & Belong is a support group for youth ages 13-18 who have experienced abuse. It is an opportunity for youth to connect with peers, learn coping skills, build healthy relationships, and gain a better understanding of resources available to help them heal.

The weekly support group is facilitated by trained mental health professionals using trauma-informed practices. In addition to
peer support, participants will learn about topics such as healthy relationships, abuse prevention, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and navigating the legal system.

Guest speakers from community organizations will help connect youth with additional resources and trusted adults.
