We could use your help, friends.

Egg cartons are not needed at this time—we haven’t received a large egg donation in quite a while. But we are in urgent need of bags (paper or plastic), and our supply is nearly gone.

With more families coming in for standard food packages and weekly produce pickups, our reserve stock is being stretched thin. If you’re out shopping, grabbing even one or two extra items to donate makes a real difference. Our greatest need are canned proteins, canned tomatoes, pasta, and personal care items including feminine products.

August brings added financial pressure for families preparing for back‑to‑school, and that means families are relying more heavily on WAFER. Thank you for stepping up and supporting your neighbors. Your generosity keeps our neighbors strong.

What a night! On August 13th, Moon Tunes brought together great music, generous supporters, and wonderful friends of WAFER. The Everson Financial Group hosted a fun evening of connection and celebration at Hatchery Riverside.

We’re especially grateful for the generosity shown toward WAFER Food Pantry — from donated food and funds to every signature drink ordered which resulted in $10 each being donated by the Everson Financial Group. This is community at its best.

Our thanks to board members, Pete and Amy, for greeting those in attendance and sharing how WAFER cares for neighbors.

Exciting news!

The Mobile Pantry will be at a new location tomorrow, August 27th. Come see Tony from 10:45–11:45 a.m. at West Elm Manor, 540 West Elm St., West Salem.

Shoppers can pick up produce, dairy products, bakery items, meat, canned goods, and more.

Calling all home gardeners!

Do you have more garden goodies than you can eat? We have a perfect solution — stock our cooler and share that abundance with neighbors.

Fresh garden veggies are such a treat, especially for shoppers who aren’t able to grow their own. Your surplus can make someone’s day a whole lot brighter.

Our doors are open for donations:
Monday–Friday, 8–12:30
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday evenings, 4–7:30

Are you looking for a fun evening out? Check out "Ranchfest".

Dinner is available, fun for the children, and a variety of other businesses. In fact, we will be there so stop and say "HI"!

We want to clear up a little confusion surrounding the food at Ranchfest this Wednesday, 8/26!

- Adults get 50% OFF their buffet! (We’re offering this due to the confusion!)

To receive either deal, you must register at the Ranchfest booth when you arrive and receive a GREEN WRISTBAND. This lets our restaurant team know you’re registered and eligible for the special pricing.

PLUS, we’re hosting a Community Impact Night! Volunteers from Central High School will be helping clear and clean tables from 4–9 PM to raise money for their students’ international trip to the Galápagos Islands! They’ll receive 10% of all sales (dine-in, carryout & delivery) plus 100% of all CASH tips during that time!

Our thanks to Dietitian Joel for leading his first nutrition education class last week. Participants learned about food preservation — not just freezing, dehydrating, or pickling, but also how the natural chemicals fruits and vegetables emit can impact the foods around them. Joel shared practical storage tips to help extend quality, and everyone enjoyed sampling dilly beans and a refreshing fruit sorbet.
