Day 3 of State convention

Fifth Session

During the fifth session, Audra was recognized as the High Individual in the Agronomy CDE and for earning a National FFA scholarship.

Our Homesite team was also acknowledge for qualifying and competing in the National Homesite contest.

Day 2 of State convention

Fourth Session

During the fourth session, Ethan went on stage as a top four finalist for extemporaneous speaking and prepared public speaking.

Ethan placed 4th overall in Extemporaneous and 3rd overall in Prepared public speaking.

Way to go Ethan!

Day 2 of State convention

Third Session

During the Third session, Audra was recognized as a finalist in the Grain production placement area and with her Agriscience fair project.

Clara also went on stage for Employability skills. She placed 6th over all in the State Employability Skills LDE.

Way to go ladies!

Next, we listened to some awesome music at the State FFA Chorus and Band concert. Audra, Wyatt, and Cordell are in the band again this year.

Day 2 State Convention

Session 2

During the 2nd session, Audra was acknowledge for her 3rd place in the leadership knowledge quiz. Ethan went on stage as a finalist for the Diversified Livestock proficiency area.

After session, we took a break, ate some great lunch, and visited Varsity donuts for a sweet treat.

Then, we listened to Ethan present his final round extemporaneous and prepared public speaking speeches. We find out how he did later during the fourth session.

Day 1 of State Convention

Opening session

After spending the day in contests, at the career fair, and exploring Manhattan we’re kicked off state convention by attending opening session for the first time in the Morgan Family Arena.

Jadyn and Maggie served as our chapter delegates.

We listened to the State FFA Vice President, Dustin Denton, give his retiring address.

Lastly, Ethan and the rest of the state officer candidates gave their candidate speeches.

UPDATE- Clara is one of the 6 finalists for Employability skills! Her final round interview will be at 3:20!

She will find out her final placing tomorrow during the Third Session.

Good luck to Ethan as he runs for FFA State Office! La Crosse FFA is cheering you on!

The first members have arrived in Manhattan for the 98th Kansas FFA Convention! These 18 candidates officially kicked off the State Officer Candidate process, and are excited to see over 2,800 members and guests fill Kansas State University and McCain Auditorium.

UPDATE 2: Ethan is a finalist in BOTH Extemperanous and prepared public speaking. He will give his final speeches tomorrow and find out how he did during the fourth session tomorrow at 7:00pm!

UPDATE: Both Audra and Ethan are moving on to the semi-finals in Extemperanous!

Ethan is moving on to the semi-finals round in prepared public speaking. Unfortunately, Audra is not moving on to the next round, but we are very proud of her and all of her hard work!

State convention has begun!

Audra and Ethan have already had a busy morning competing in State Prepared Public speaking AND Extemperanous speaking!

Semi-finalists will be announced later this morning!

On to Oklahoma!

These four will be competing in the National homesite contest! Today, we are warming up to Oklahoma soils at the practice fields. Tomorrow morning they will compete!
